GEMS has a strong reading program which includes a parent piece called BABAR (borrow a book and read). Four nights a week your child takes a book home to read to you. Part of the nightly routine is to journal about your child's reading. You can ask questions and I write back to you on the weekend. Parents become involved and seee the tremendous progress and the POWER OF READING.
